Howdy Folks

You are invited to attend our last meeting of the winter.  As usual, it’s at the Museum of Flight on Boeing Field in Seattle.  This Saturday, 9 March, kicking off promptly at 10:00 AM.  We’ll be on the second floor, at the south end of the building, in the North View Lounge.

In addition to what we usually do, you’ll get to meet the young scholars who comprise our 2019 class who were awarded our Aviation Scholarships.  In addition, we’ll hear from Ms. London Holmes, a 2018 scholar, who went on to win a Leroy W Homer, Jr. Foundation scholarship.

Our featured speaker is David Williams.  He’ll have lots to say about the life and times of Mira Slovak (https://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/29/us/mira-slovak-a-daring-pilot-who-won-freedom-then-races-dies-at-84.html), both a pilot and a hydro racer – familiar to many of us here in the Northwest.

As always, friends and family are welcome, no, encouraged to attend.  No cost to get into the museum to attend our meeting.  No-host luncheon after in the Wings Café.

Hope to see you there.
