The late winter sun arrived and provided beautiful skies for a Cascade Warbirds memorial flyby at the Tahoma National Cemetery on March 1st, honoring LT Glenn Ewing, former US Navy OV-10 pilot with the famous Black Ponies squadron, VAL-4.
Although winter weather and COVID restrictions have reduced our normal flying proficiency, the Cascade Warbirds pilots were able to accomplish a practice flight session beforehand and this allowed for a four-ship missing man fly-past to honor Glen, the Ewing family, and the Black Ponies squadron.
Well done and thank you to John “Smokey” Johnson, Stan “Sundance” Kasprzyk, Bob Hill, and Dave Desmon!
